![]() Our latest completed short has begun its festival run and on top of a screening at the 'Coasties' film festival at Avoca Beach NSW 'Pine Island' has just been announced a semi-finalist in one of the 'Top 10 Short Film Festivals in the World' (MoveMaker Magazine. The ACTION/CUT 2013 Short Film Competition advice to Director Graham Gall said: "The Action/Cut Juries warmly congratulate all Semi-Finalists for their special work of excellence which stood out from the many hundreds of short films entered in these competitive categories. Your film can include in its list of achievements the following award: "SEMI-FINALIST: ACTION/CUT 2013 SHORT FILM COMPETITION" Pine Island is being entered in selected festivals in Australia and around the world over the course of 2013-14, so hopefully more accolades for this intensely emotional and topical teen angst drama to come. ![]() Shooting complete on our next short 'Pine Island' starring Canberra based actress Morgan Whitbread, screen play by young Melbourne writer Laura Pfundt. Post production well advanced. Its looking very good thanks to a great cast and crew. Deals with depression and the impact of domestic violence on families - especially young adults. After securing a Top 12 berth in the 'Canberra Local' Section of the Canberra Short Film Festival the Festival Director feed back was that 'Evil At My Door' was a 'huge success'. Director Graham Gall was in the audience and received great praise for the 18 mins short black and white 'film noir' thriller. Positive comments were received about the 'story', the 'look' and the acting performances. Its still in play in a few International Festivals - so watch this space!
Our short film from 2011 that had its world premiere at the Stepping Stone film fest Bangalore in India has scored another official selection. This time it will have its Australian premiere in our home town on Friday 14 September at the Canberra Short Film Festival at Dendy Cinemas. It was a great cast and crew - thanks guys!
